KINDER & PREDANCE

We foster the development of creative innovation and art education and give each dancer the opportunity to grow in their self-expression, build confidence and learn to inspire others to grow and flourish in the art of Dance.

Choose from tap, hip-hop, theatre, or our highly recommended kinderdance and predance: tailor-made for ages 3-5 years to develop fine and gross motor skills. It is an introduction to dance, incorporating basic body awareness, musicality and free movement. There is an emphasis on fun!

RECITAL

All recital programs participate in our June recital at the Rose Theatre. Costumes, music and community! Enjoy performances from beginner to advanced. Special performances from our theatre department and guest appearances from the music and art departments.

Our Team

Marianne studied C.D.T.A syllabus in Boston, Alberta and Mississauga, and has taught dance of all styles in various studios, schools and daycares. She developed and ran workshops for high schools in the G.T.A while working towards a business degree from Sheridan. Marianne choreographs performances for Children of all ages- adults in Recreational and Competitive programs and has been teaching professionally for 20 years.

Mikaela has been dancing since the age of 6 and has been competing in both regional and national competitions for the past 3 years. She has experience in a wide variety of disciplines and is currently training through the Regional Arts Program at her high school.

Kaitlyn is graduate of the Dance Program at Mayfield Secondary School. She has training in a variety of styles including jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, acro, lyrical and contemporary. More recently she has been involved in musical theatre productions such as Newsies and Mamma Mia! She is currently attending the University of Toronto for Cinema and Drama Studies. She is honoured to be a part of the Synergy faculty and is excited to share her passion!

Kyra has been dancing since the age 9 and has been competing in regional and national competitions for the past 3 years. She is trained in many disciplines and studied dance through the Regional Arts Program. She is now completing her university degree in Concurrent Education. Additionally, Kyra has experience assisting children ages 3-10 in various styles of dance. Kyra’s positive attitude and inclusive nature allows her students to feel comfortable and confident.

Elise is trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and contemporary dance. She has been competing since the age of 6 in national and regional competitions. Elise studied the RAD syllabus primarily in classical ballet, free movement and character dance.

Erin has been dancing since the age of 4. She is trained in many disciplines as well as studied dance through a regional arts dance program in high school. She is now completing her university degree in Child and Youth studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Erin has experience teaching dance to children ages 3-12 in many styles. She is passionate about dance and is excited to be a part of the team here at Synergy!

My daughter is 13 years old and has been in the Synergy Theatre Arts Program for about 5 months now which helped her develop the many skills and confidence level for acting/performing. We recently decided to get her some 1 on 1 coaching sessions to help her prep for the her high school audition. It’s amazing how these sessions helped her with the difficult monologue and choreographing a short performance that is required. Ms. Marianne and staff at Synergy are awesome and have really taken to time to focus on preparing her for this important step in her life. Needless to say she nailed the audition.
